        Our Goal
One of our primary goals of this clinic is to reduce the number of patients who use the hospital's emergency room for non-emergency primary care. The clinic also hopes to integrate physical and mental health care, in coordination with staff from Sutton Place Behavioral Health.

Examples of appropriate medical need:

There are 45 million Americans who have little or no access to health care, and the number is growing at a rate of one million people per year. These medically underserved are all across this country, and many are our own neighbors of family members. Their lack of basic health care is not just a problem for them, but for all of us in Nassau County.
