The first program of the Barnabas Center - the Crisis Assistance Program was developed to serve Nassau County residents experiencing these financial crisis situations: delinquent rent payments, past due utility bills, need for clothing or household items without the ability to pay, and often the need for food. This program serves as the support to help people in crisis break through the crisis and get back on their feet. (learn more)

In October of 2005, Barnabas established the Samaritan Medical Program; a free urgent care program staffed primarily by local medical professionals who volunteer their time to treat qualifying, Nassau County residents without medical insurance. (learn more)

General Funds Donation

Barnabas recognized the need to provide access for dental care to the uninsured, under-employed residents in Nassau County. As a result, The Samaritan Dental Program opened in August of 2007. The Barnabas Dental Program is the first only low cost dental program of its kind in Nassau County. (learn more)

In 1996, Barnabas transitioned the "New To You" resale store to its current location. Proceeds from the store support all Barnabas programs providing assistance for residents in need in Nassau County. Additionally, a certificate program is used to provide clients with items they need when they have a crisis and cannot afford to pay for those items. (learn more)
